• Sit in one place doing nothing
• Hit the kitchen for junk food
• Call up and scold someone

Why Start-up Companies Fail?

Start-up companies/Captives fail miserably because they fail to have the following basic elements

1. They will not have a clear cut achievable strategy

2. Leader who will run the unit and coordinate and give direction to the people will be missing

3. Fail to setup process

4. Fail to get the right hires: right level of screening of technical, attitude and team work, prior experience matching what is expected

5. Right people at Right places

6. Regular followup are not done by stakeholders gauging what is happening on the floor

7. Expecting results immediately from a startup and captive is a wrong expectation

8. Coordination between sr. mgmt is key, if ego's are ruling, it is bound to bomb.

9. Team cohesiveness need to ensured by managers

10. Discipline and proper workplace rules needs to be in place, otherwise it becomes family business
